Yesterday, we put on a fun little buffet for a few folks for my daughter Kristin. We had typical American fare: hamburgers, chips and dips, bbq’d ribs and pumpkin pie; and added to it some fun Greek items: Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), Tiropetes (cheese filled filo dough), Moussaka ( a main dish of potato, zucchini, eggplant and meat sauce), Baklava (honey, nut and filo dough desert) and Greek Salad.
It is a risk to put out unfamiliar items to a novice public, but sometimes you get a few who are willing to try something new and you can see a new world opening up to them!
