I love my Tesla X

Laura has a way of adopting my projects as hers in any event. My drive to Santa Maria is effortless! Laura says we are “driving for free” as our solar panels pays for it. We’ve had it a few weeks and highly recommend.owShe loves my Tesla and has programmed her phone as as a car key… I am told this is backup?

cook like a Nun but don’t make it a Habit

well, I chose a great cookbook from Mount Athos and here’s something from St. Elizabeth’s! Plenty of vegan meals and a QR code to encourage your study.

we love fish cakes around here so here’s a simple and yummy recipe. They suggested to use two kinds of fish! I like Orange Ruffy and Halibut.

bon appetite!!! ❤️❤️

Even Beef, Lamb or Pork on a diet

Tri Tip ( lower round steak) is packaged five or more in a bag at Costco! Each triangular piece is filleted producing 2 pieces.

My favorite diet cookbook is from the great gentlemen of Mount Athos! However, although they have recipes for many things from the sea, I saw nothing of beef, lamb, pork, chicken or game… so, I’ll just add something rarely but periodically.

in our world, the Santa Maria barbecue seasoned with a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder and parsley. The great chef Paul Prudholm of Louisiana has a great collection of quick seasoning blends, his special one for beef is a nice addition.

this slice of meat is relatively inexpensive and lean and can be cooked on a George Foreman grill expertly, even by someone with no cooking experience. I recommend this lean “Bottom Round” for part of the dietary routine of young athletes . Eat well ❤️

A little Diet help from above

Over the past year or so, I have seriously endeavored to lose weight with a modicum of success… but I needed help and guidance. I found it challenging to shed a few pounds now that I am older than I did as a young man or as an athlete.

I decided to look into what real men have done to control their waistline and I realized the answer was right before my eyes: the dietary habits of Monks. I knew they were strict, but it opened my eyes to what was possible. First, I read a book about the life of Saint Paisios of Holy Mount Athos. Personally, living off a bag of leaves for a year wasn’t going to work for me. I knew that an effective routine was there but I had to hunt for it!

I found a recipe book from Mount Athos that had everything I needed: beautiful filling soups and catches from the sea. My numbers from the doctors office were the envy of everyone I know… and now you know!

bon appetite!!! ❤️

even diets have recipes!!!

These are some of my favorite cookbooks!

I started looking for recipes that encourage losing weight but still meet some basic needs: 1) they must be filling, if you’re still hungry afterwards then you’re still challenged, 2) they must still meet basic nutritional needs of the body, I found giving up alcohol and sugar less of a challege than balancing meats and fats and 3) it must be sustainable or like a rubber band you will just gain it all back!

So I took my time and explored what I really wanted and could give up and what I wanted and could manage and regulate.

homemade bagels… a must for me… so I make room for them❤️
