It’s kinda hard to negotiate with folks who believe they will get their eternal reward in the hereafter. After all, why protect and preserve what one has in this world if your reward comes after death?
It seems strange that an Islamic youth would wear a ‘earthly’ plastic key around their neck for admittance into the land of 52 virgins in each of 52 mansions! ( you thought it was ONLY 52 virgins… nah… the reward is much bigger).
Even though the reward for dark deeds is great it is darkly amusing that Osama didn’t let any of the ‘muscle’ of the suicide planes know what was in store for them… they may just think that this world isn’t all that bad after all.
The drawing above I actually ‘borrowed’ and motified… but it speaks to the challenges that lay before us in dealing with adversaries that believe that state sponsored terrorism is just another way to do business. We better learn how to play this new game before time runs out.
